Hannah S pic for spotlight

Hannah Starcevich, Associate

At AG Consulting Partners, we are honored to work with a diverse group of people with a variety of talents and interests. This month, we are highlighting Hannah Starcevich to learn more about her work and passions outside of the office.

What’s your background? Where did you grow up and go to school?
I grew up in the Detroit area but moved to Washington in 2007 when the economy hit rock bottom in Michigan. We found new opportunity in the Seattle Area. I studied International Business and Spanish at the University of Washington. Previously to working at AGCP, I worked as an English language teacher in Santiago, Chile and a tour guide in Patagonia.

Can you tell me about your current project?
I recently started a new project with Partner Strategy and Planning for a local technology company. For the past 18 months I’ve been working with an Enterprise Commercial Strategy and Planning Team.

How are you staying motivated, productive, and sane during this extended period of remote work?

  1. Exercise breaks: Short morning walks with family and running after work. Moving and getting outside helps me stay positive and productive.
  2. Networking coffee dates: I reconnect virtually with coworkers, clients, and peers through one-on-one meetings to catch up and learn about their career paths and what motivates them.
  3. Goal setting: I use this time for introspection and setting long term goals and diving into trainings and readings in the short term.

Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?
Patagonia – I am a hiking fanatic, so spending all day leading groups out in the wilderness there was awesome. We frequently saw cougars (which they call pumas) and guanacos (wild llama-like animals) and many more creatures.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I am a yogi and find that my yoga practice is the most important part of my week and helps me stay well. Namaste.

Any favorite books, movies, or podcasts?
American Dirt, a 2020 novel about a Mexican woman and her son that had to leave their life behind and escaped as undocumented immigrants to the US.
