Mischell Mayo, Senior Associate

At AG Consulting Partners, we are honored to work with a diverse group of people with a variety of talents and interests. This month, we are highlighting Mischell Mayo to learn more about her work and passions outside of the office.

What do you like most about AG Consulting Partners (AGCP)?

The people I get to work with, even if it isn’t directly! I would say integrity, compassion and fun are three words to sum up the work culture at AG and, well, culture is definitely an outcome of each person’s character and dedication and the company hires amazing and talented people.

What is or has been your favorite project?

With the recent transition to full-time remote work, I am very passionate about the work we are doing to maintain the strong culture while improving engagement and fun! I haven’t even met most of the people from AG in person since I started in March when we were just starting quarantine, but I have still felt a strong connection because of the activities and events that are hosted virtually to keep everyone connected. Change management and process improvement projects are always my favorite.

Are you messy or organized?

​​​​​​​I am super organized. My email inbox is almost always empty by the end of the work day because I file things almost immediately or have clean-up time throughout the day

and delete what I don’t need (i.e., if there is a response to a thread, I will make sure the previous one is deleted so it doesn’t take up space). It’s how I’ve always worked, and it helps me to be very efficient.

How do you define success?

Honestly, during this pandemic, I consider waking up, getting out of bed and showing up success! And I think that’s okay. Success is achieving what you aim to accomplish and right now that’s my aim!

Before working at AGCP what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

I was a burlesque dancer at Can Can Culinary Cabaret beneath Pike Place Market. Each night I walked into the space it felt like traveling back in time. It was cool to look up and realize you were in Seattle’s underground and the décor and music just made it feel that much more historical.

If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you?

Zooey Deschanel because she is also quirky like me. The fact we both have the same hairstyle and bangs is a plus. Ha.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
